Cities of Champions: New York and Berlin – how to fight and win

The two Big Beauties have made it. Cities of Champions. NBA & BBL.

Through speed, precision, and teamwork.

But above all, as the New York Knicks and Alba Berlin have impressively demonstrated: Through perseverance and fighting spirit. Never quit, keep fighting, even when you seem to be behind or are actually behind.

It perfectly illustrates what I advise my clients.

Legal disputes are no fairway for a round of Golf. It’s more like Basketball.

It requires total commitment and exceptional strength, high speed and responsiveness, a readiness to engage in direct contact with opponents and a willingness to fight as part of a team. You need to read the room, think for the team and don’t take your eyes off the basket – in other words, don’t lose sight of the target.

But it is more than that. It’s value driven.

It matters that it’s NBA basketball – the sport most consistently maligned by right-wing sycophants … It matters that the Knicks are in New York, still America’s biggest city and the world’s most important one. What happens there reverberates everywhere. … It is still the place that most terrifies the people scared of diversity and progressive politics and even their own shadows (because they’re black too). And it is still the place that takes the most pride in being that place.

Or, to put it in the words of the be loved Beastie Boys (An Open Letter to NYC):

Queens and Staten
From the Battery to the top of Manhattan
Asian, Middle-Eastern, and Latin
Black, White, New York you make it happen“

And, of course, it matters that the German champion, Alba, is from Berlin.
